Construction Debris Removal
Construction Debris Removal in Salt Lake County and Utah County. Leftover drywall, lumber, flooring, cabinets, and remodel debris.
Finished a remodel, a basement build-out, or a weekend DIY project? Construction debris piles up fast, and a dumpster is not always practical, especially if your driveway is small, your HOA restricts dumpsters, or the job is only a few loads. We haul leftover materials away so you can enjoy the finished space.
What we take
- Drywall scraps and sheetrock
- Lumber, trim, and framing scraps
- Old cabinets and vanities
- Carpet, pad, and flooring
- Doors, windows, and fixtures
- Tile and countertops (ask us)
- Tubs, sinks, and toilets
- Packaging from new materials
A practical alternative to a dumpster
Dumpster rentals work well for big, long projects. For smaller jobs, they can be more than you need. A dumpster sits on your driveway for days, may need a permit or HOA approval, and you still have to carry everything out and throw it in. With junk removal, the crew does the loading and the debris leaves the same day.
This is especially useful for one-room remodels, bathroom updates, flooring replacements, and basement finishing projects, where the debris comes in a few big piles rather than steadily over weeks.
For homeowners and contractors
We work with homeowners doing their own projects and with contractors who need a site cleared at the end of a job. If you are a contractor, we can coordinate with your schedule so debris is gone before the final walkthrough.
We can pick up from garages, driveways, backyards, or inside the home. Keep debris in one area if you can, and keep hazardous materials separate.
What we cannot take
We do not take hazardous materials, including asbestos, lead paint debris, wet paint, solvents, or chemicals. If your home was built before 1980 and you are removing older materials, consider testing for asbestos before demolition. If you are unsure about something, mention it in your request and we will let you know.
Pricing for construction debris
Construction debris is priced by volume and weight. Drywall, tile, concrete, and plaster are heavy for their size, so they are priced differently than light, bulky items like cabinets or packaging. Sending photos with a note about the materials helps us give you an accurate upfront quote before any work begins.
Timing and recycling
We schedule debris pickups around your project. Same-day and next-day pickup may be possible, subject to availability. Clean wood, metal, cardboard, and some other materials can be recycled when a local facility accepts them. Cabinets, doors, fixtures, and leftover new materials in good condition may be donated to organizations that accept building materials. We separate what we reasonably can before disposal.
Where we offer construction debris removal
We provide construction debris removal throughout Salt Lake County and Utah County, from Salt Lake City, Millcreek, and West Valley City down through Sandy, Draper, and Herriman, and across the Utah County line into Lehi, American Fork, Orem, Provo, Spanish Fork, and Payson. If you are not sure whether your address is in our area, include your city or ZIP code in the quote form and we will confirm. Jobs farther from the center of the valley are easier to fit in with a little notice, so reach out as early as you can when you have a date in mind.
Why neighbors choose Junk Buddy Utah
We are a local crew, and we try to make every job simple and predictable. You get an upfront quote before we lift anything, so there is no guessing about the bill. Our crew does all the lifting, loading, and carrying, and we sweep up the spot where your items were. We look for donation and recycling options before anything goes to the landfill, and we are honest about what we can and cannot take. If construction debris removal is not the right fit for your situation, we will tell you and point you in a better direction.
Construction Debris Removal FAQ
Do I need a dumpster for my remodel?
Not always. For smaller projects or debris that comes in a few big piles, junk removal is often simpler. For long or very large projects, a dumpster may make more sense.
Do you take drywall and tile?
Yes, in reasonable amounts. Heavy materials affect pricing, so mention them in your quote request.
Do you take asbestos or lead paint debris?
No. We do not handle hazardous materials. Those require licensed abatement professionals.
Can leftover building materials be donated?
Sometimes. Usable cabinets, doors, fixtures, and unused materials may be accepted by organizations that take building materials. Acceptance varies.
