Furniture Removal
Furniture Removal in Salt Lake County and Utah County. Couches, sectionals, recliners, dressers, tables, and the heavy stuff nobody wants to move twice.
Replacing a couch, clearing a spare bedroom, or downsizing before a move? Furniture is usually the bulkiest thing in a house, and it is rarely in a convenient spot. Our crew carries pieces out of basements, down stairs, and through tight hallways, loads them into the truck, and takes them away. When a piece is still in good, usable shape, we look for a donation option before anything else.
What we take
- Sofas, sectionals, and loveseats
- Recliners and lift chairs
- Dressers, nightstands, and armoires
- Bed frames and headboards
- Dining tables and chairs
- Desks, bookshelves, and entertainment centers
- Patio and outdoor furniture
- Cribs, bunk beds, and kids furniture
Why people call us for furniture
Most furniture removal calls start with something new arriving. A new sectional is scheduled for delivery on Saturday and the old one still fills the living room. Other times it is a bigger change: a kid moving out, a parent moving into a smaller place, or a basement being finished and needing to be emptied first. In every case the goal is the same. The old piece needs to leave the house without scratched walls, a strained back, or a borrowed truck.
We do all the lifting. You do not need to drag anything to the garage or the curb. Point at what goes, and the crew handles the rest, including disassembly of things like bed frames or bunk beds when that makes the carry safer.
How we protect your home
Bulky furniture and narrow doorways do not always cooperate. We plan the path before we lift, remove doors or legs when it helps, and take corners slowly. Stairs get extra care, especially in split-level and basement layouts that are common across the Wasatch Front. If a piece clearly will not come out in one piece, we talk with you before taking it apart.
If you have anything fragile along the route, like framed photos on a stairwell wall, it helps to move those first. We will point out anything we notice before we start.
Pricing for furniture removal
Furniture removal is priced by how much space the items take in our truck, along with the type of item and how hard it is to reach. A single recliner from the main floor and a full basement of furniture are very different jobs, so we do not quote one flat number for everything. You get an upfront quote before any work begins, and you can say yes or no before we lift a thing.
Sending photos through the quote form is the fastest way to get an accurate number. A wide shot of each piece and a note about stairs or long carries is usually all we need.
Timing and scheduling
We try to work around delivery dates and move-out deadlines. Same-day and next-day pickup are sometimes possible, but timing is always subject to availability. The earlier you reach out, the more options there are. If you have a hard deadline, mention it in your request and we will tell you honestly whether we can make it.
Donation and recycling
Usable furniture often has another life ahead of it. When a piece is clean and in good condition, we set it aside and look for a local donation option. Acceptance depends on the organization and the item, and some will not take upholstered pieces with stains, tears, or pet damage. Wood, metal, and other materials are recycled when a local option exists. What cannot be reused or recycled is disposed of properly.
Where we offer furniture removal
We provide furniture removal throughout Salt Lake County and Utah County, from Salt Lake City, Millcreek, and West Valley City down through Sandy, Draper, and Herriman, and across the Utah County line into Lehi, American Fork, Orem, Provo, Spanish Fork, and Payson. If you are not sure whether your address is in our area, include your city or ZIP code in the quote form and we will confirm. Jobs farther from the center of the valley are easier to fit in with a little notice, so reach out as early as you can when you have a date in mind.
Why neighbors choose Junk Buddy Utah
We are a local crew, and we try to make every job simple and predictable. You get an upfront quote before we lift anything, so there is no guessing about the bill. Our crew does all the lifting, loading, and carrying, and we sweep up the spot where your items were. We look for donation and recycling options before anything goes to the landfill, and we are honest about what we can and cannot take. If furniture removal is not the right fit for your situation, we will tell you and point you in a better direction.
Furniture Removal FAQ
Do I need to move furniture to the garage or curb first?
No. We carry furniture out from wherever it is, including basements, upstairs bedrooms, and backyards. Just make sure we have a clear path and let us know about stairs when you request a quote.
Will you take apart a bed frame or sectional?
Yes, when it helps the carry. Many bed frames, bunk beds, and modular sectionals come apart easily. If something needs more work, we will talk with you before we start.
Can my old couch be donated?
Sometimes. Donation depends on condition and on what local organizations are accepting at the time. Clean pieces without tears, stains, or pet damage have the best chance.
How do I get a price for one piece of furniture?
Send a photo and a short description through the quote form or call us. We will give you an upfront quote before any work begins.
